#TECH-TALK: A Web Event: Measuring Systems for Lathes 

In this web event, our measureXperts show you how measurement technology can be utilized in turning machines. Metrology products utilized in these types of machines can help verify that parts have been loaded correctly. In addition, laser measuring systems can be utilized to measure the tool prior to machining and/or to check for breakage during the machining process. Touch probes can be utilized to measure the workpiece and to provide automatic tool correction when needed, ensuring the workpiece is manufactured within the tolerance limit.

Lathes provide completely different conditions than a milling machine. In the majority of turning applications, the probe is bombarded with coolant, oil and chips within the workspace. To guarantee accurate results even under these harsh operating conditions, Blum-Novotest has developed an extremely robust lathe variant specifically built for the demands in this environment.
