Production measurement technology for maximum productivity and precision

Advanced measuring systems for tool setting, tool breakage detection and workpiece measurement in machine tools.

Blum-Novotest Laser Measuring System

Laser Measuring Systems

Non-contact based tool setting solution inside the machine. Provides data which can be used to analyze tools of various shapes and sizes. As a tool enters the laser beam, these systems continuously measure the shading of the beam to gather data.

Blum-Novoest Tool Setter

Tool Setters

Contact based tool setting solution inside the machine. Provides simple tool geometry by measuring the tool's length and/or radius offset, wear and/or breakage.

Blum-Novotest Touch Probe

Part Probes

Workpiece Touch Probes set workpiece origin and measure features on the machined part to verify if component dimensions are within tolerance. Touch Probes inspect the workpiece by touching the part in various predetermined locations based on the CNC program cycle.

Blum-Novotest DIGILOG Scanning Probe

DIGILOG Scanning Probes

Instead of recording values based on various touches to the part, DIGILOG Scanning Probes actually scan the part, recording a constant stream of data to create a comparative measurement between a master part and the workpiece.

Blum-Novotest Roughness Gauge

Surface Roughness Gauges

Similar to Scanning Probes, Surface Roughness Gauges inspect the surface finish of a workpiece using a pulling movement. This type of movement is used to measure the amount of deflection as it relates to the distance traveled to evaluate the surface finish of the part.

Blum-Novotest Bore Gauge

Bore Gauges

Bore Gauges are used to measure bore dimensions during mass production of serial workpieces. The device generates measurement data independent of the machine tool's positioning, therefore it can also be mounted outside of the machine tool, on a robot arm for example.

Blum-Novotest Measurement Software

Measurement Software

User-friendly measurement software and software cycles for BLUM measuring systems. These are tailored to BLUM systems to assist the user in reaching the full potential of the measuring device.

Blum-Novotest Receivers for Measuring Systems

Receivers

Infared and radio receivers for BLUM measuring systems guarantee fast and reliable wireless data transmission. Different receiver systems are available depending on the measuring system used and the required installation type.

Further Measuring Devices LP

Further Measuring Devices

Universal measuring devices for determining specific process data in automated production via BRC wireless technology. The respective sensors are either integrated directly into the clamping device or are inserted via the tool magazine.

Why use production measurement technology by BLUM?

  • Minimize setup times of tools and workpieces
  • Increase in-process reliability
